This organization was established to improve the quality of life for young people in Michigan, through activities and programs that focus on developing leadership skills, providing role models for young people, and encouraging youth to engage in constructive activities in their leisure time. The Foundation also awards scholarships to deserving students. The principle activity of the organization is sponsoring the annual "Metro Detroit Youth Day," a day-long event for youth in the city of Detroit and the Metro area. This foundation also sponsors the Handicapped Fishing Derby where handicapped children are taken for boat rides and fishing excursions. The disabled participants are physically and/or mentally challenged.
